Town of Mount Holly Seeks a Transfer Station Attendant
The Town of Mount Holly Seeks a Transfer Station Attendant to provide support to customers at the Transfer Station during its open hours. The ideal candidate will be able to lift up to 50 pounds and can provide prompt and courteous customer service to residents and guests using the Transfer Station.
Duties include greeting residents and guests, ensuring that residents and guests follow all state and local solid waste disposal guidelines and protocols, and assisting with the sorting and collection of materials, including mixed solid waste, construction debris, wood scrap, metal scrap, single-stream recycling, and donated items.
The position is 9 hours per week, with occasional additional hours. In the winter, hours are Saturdays 8 am – 2 pm and Sundays 9 am to 12 pm. In the summer, hours are Saturdays 8 am – 2 pm and Wednesdays 4 pm- 7 pm. An hourly wage is paid weekly via the Town’s payroll.
