Route 103 Updates

WORK SCHEDULED FOR THE WEEK OF 7/22/19:  

SPECIAL TRAFFIC CONSIDERATIONS FOR THE UPCOMING WEEK: 
Alternating one-way traffic patterns may occur at the location of active construction operations.

SCOPE OF WORK: Work remaining includes miscellaneous pavement markings, bridge joints, railroad band joints and project clean-up.


WORK SCHEDULED FOR THE WEEK OF 7/22/19:

The contractor will continue working on bridge plug joints and railroad band joints the remainder of this week and early next week. These operations are weather dependent.


Hand painting of roadway markings will be completed late this week or early next week, weather and surface conditions permitting.

The contractor will use the remainder of this month for job clean up.

Route 155 Updates

PROJECT TYPE: Roadway, culvert, and slope remediation
LOCATION: Town of Mount Holly along Route 155. The project limits begin just south of Barlow Rd. and extend northerly about .1 mile and includes the two culverts within the project limits. Remaining project work includes embankment and roadway work.

PROJECTED COMPLETION: Summer 2019

SPEED REDUCTION ZONE:  A 40 mph speed reduction zone is in place through the project area. A one-way alternating traffic pattern will be in place as needed during active construction operations. Traffic control personnel will be onsite regulating the flow of traffic. 

WORK SCHEDULED:

GENERAL: Crews are typically onsite Monday to Friday 7:00am to 5:00pm. Please be advised that equipment/trucks will be entering RT 155 from both Barlow Rd. and a construction entrance on the south end of the project.    


ROAD/SLOPE WORK: Markowski has completed construction of the slope and installed turf establishment items this week as well as finished paving on Barlow Rd. and line striping on VT 155. Crews will still be onsite for the next few weeks to complete other miscellaneous activities to wrap up the project. Landscaping the slope including tree and shrub plantings still needs to be performed and is anticipated to begin next week. Lane closures and trucks or equipment should be expected at any time until final completion of the project.

Please focus on safety when driving through the construction work zone and remember, it is against the law to use a hand held cell phone while driving in Vermont.
